About The Jerk
I'm just a suburban dad who picked up a camera one day and never put it down.
By day, I navigate the wild world of suburban life — school drop-offs, grocery runs, and the occasional existential crisis in the Home Depot parking lot. By night (and every spare moment in between), I'm behind a lens, chasing light and interesting compositions.
This site is my corner of the internet. No clients, no deadlines, no briefs. Just photos I love taking and words I need to write. I blog about the things that fill my days: raising kids who think I'm embarrassing, cooking meals that are sometimes edible, debating politics with anyone who'll listen, and riding motorcycles whenever I can escape.
The name? Yeah, it's tongue-in-cheek. Suburban living has a way of making you feel like both the main character and the comic relief. Might as well lean into it.
